Hello Readers:
I would say that overall I am probably a 7 as far as my rating towards optimal well-being. For my physical well-being, I would rate
myself at a 9; for spiritual well-being, I would rate myself at a 7 and for
psychological well-being, I would be at a 7 as well. Physically, I am in really good shape;
however, since I want to compete in Physique eventually, I know that I need to
add muscle and lose more of the fat. As
far as spirituality is concerned, there is definitely room for
improvement. I would like to get back in
to Reiki as a practitioner to be connected in a spiritual manner. Psychologically speaking, I need to improve
my mental health. I am working on
stopping my feelings of anxiety, but even though I have curbed some of the
anxiety, I haven’t been able to cut it out of my thoughts.
I will continue to work on my goals in these three
areas. For physical activity, I will
continue to go to the gym and keep lifting heavier weight. To help my spirituality aspect, I will start
using Reiki on my family in order to help them heal. For my mental health, I will continue to try
to demolish thoughts of anxiousness and stop worrying about the things that I
cannot control.
I actually enjoyed this one more than I did the last
meditation. I thought it was very
relaxing. I did get a bit impatient
towards the end, but it is only because I do not sit still very well. I am going to play this for my children to
see how they receive it. It will be interesting
to see how they do.

Jean,
ReplyDeleteI’m with you and I’ve found my self going a tad stir crazy when I got to the end of the meditation exercise this week. I’m learning to shut off the outside world when doing these activities and found when I do I have a better outcome
Your doing an excellent job with staying in shape and focusing on your fitness future. I intend to have a 6 pack at age 50 and at t-minus 7 months and counting I’ll be turning 50 so I better keep my act together. Reiki is an awesome skill set and if you have this ability then I think your miles ahead of many.
Psychological well-being is tougher and anxiety is such a tough thing to combat, by exercising you are finding one way to help combat this and I’d say by adding in sometime into your day for 15 minutes to just unwind and let go of everything your anxiousness may ebb right out of you. Best of luck on your endeavors and schooling and I look forward to more chats on the discussion board or on our blogs.

Jean,
ReplyDeleteSo how long have you been competing, I think all of us have room for improvement in all areas I know no one is perfect.I think by putting meditation in your weekly/daily life will not only help with body/mind/spirit it will improve your overall health and make you healthier in the end. I found some interesting meditation videos for adults and children on youtube you just have to find what you like for mediatation and they vary in length anywhere from 5 mins and up. My step daughter has adjustment disorder and my husband has depression I did some research it says this can help and impression their mental health.
